This is an irridescent fabric created by weaving threads of two different colors together. The irridescent quality creates a glimmering effect when the fabric is moved around in light. All fabrics in the dupioni and shantung collections that start with the code \"BE\" are irridescent and those that start with the code \"BA\" are non-irridescent. Unlike Silk Dupioni, Shantung is machine-woven instead of hand-woven and has less slubs. At this time we carry over 250 colors in Silk Shantung all of which are 54 inches in width.
