Our Silk Katan fabric is hand woven and has a softer, finer look and feel than tussah, yet is a bit more bold in texture than dupioni. Its iridescence comes from the two types of thread that it is woven with, mutka and katan. With 34 colors in stock, interior designers have many decor uses for this beautiful silk in home and commercial settings ranging from wallpaper, when paper backing is applied, to valances, pillows, drapery, and upholstery. Silk katan is also used in fashion apparel.
